For your get-pushed challenge, try exercise 2 from B&H Photo "Ten of One" https://www.bhphotovideo.com/explora/photography/tips-and-solutions/13-creative-exercises-photographers

Choose your favorites from the 10 and make a collage.

Fan-bloody-tastic Sally. Love it.
January 13th, 2019
super cool, so well done
January 13th, 2019
Very cool! Do you have an action to make this or do you just work it thru photoshop?
January 13th, 2019
@tdaug80 ooooooh! Love that list... very inspirational... do you mind if I use it to offer challenges to others?
January 13th, 2019
@northy no I didn't use an action, just drove myself dilly doing the resizing manually and having to add a new mask every time - had to show my fingers. Tried copying the layer with mask applied but because of the resizing the mask was in the wrong place (irrespective whether smart object or not)
January 13th, 2019
@salza hmmm... it’s been a while since I did one of these these, and yes it was finicky andcrazy-making, but I don’t recall having the sizing / mask issue... I think I may have just cut out the inside?
January 13th, 2019
@northy it was the position of my fingers that necessitated the masking. If I was holding a frame I could have just cut out the inside but I used a piece of board.
January 13th, 2019
Great edit and image
January 13th, 2019
Really effective! Fav.
January 13th, 2019
@northy I don't have any claims on it. It is from B&H photo. I love it, too. I've done the two dozen project a couple of times. I'm often surprised what my favorite shot turns out to be. I've tried the ten of one with disappointing results. I'll have to give it another try.
January 13th, 2019
I don’t know how you did this but it’s fantastic Fav
January 13th, 2019
Oh, Sally ... I was so surprised (and disappointed) that this shot did not make it as a finalist! It really deserved to be there - but then - maybe April figured that it would win easily and wanted a fair vote.
I am still most impressed with your response to this challenge! Bet we find a whole bunch of Droste effect photos popping up everywhere now!
January 14th, 2019
