I am dying to get a macro lens. I went to the shop yesterday and they were sold out of the one I wanted. Does you lens just focus close or is this an actual macro lens?

@tigerdreamer Karen, this was taken with my 18-55mm kit lens at full zoom and then a square crop applied. I was fairly close to the plant! I will post the original and tag you.
