Get Pushed Challenge: I have been doing this challenge on and off...
Very cool effect...Hi Sally I'm Jules your Get Pushed partner for this week. After reading your bio and looking over your photos, I noticed you focus your photography on animals of any kind, flowers and outdoor scenes. As well you have stated that you're focusing on photoshopping your shots, so I thought to challenge you a bit outside your comfort zone. This week I'm challenging you to do Architectural photography that is SOOC. Good luck and I wish you all the best!
Yes! Sally, at the risk of over-stepping my bounds, may I make a suggestion? What if you copied (crop, new, paste) the front edge of the cup, then set the lily a teensy bit further to the back edge of the cup. Now, copy/paste that front edge back on to the cup overlapping the waterlily so it visually reads that the flower is sitting inside the cup... (you would still see that stem through the clear area.
If that's not at all what you had in mind, forgive me the intrusion! Either way, a water lily makes for a beautiful photo!
@Weezilou thanks for the suggestion Louise. I did have the left petal behind the cup initially but it felt flat, if you get my drift. Bringing it to the fore gave the whole picture more of a 3D feel. There are a number of little things that bother me with this picture but seems that nobody else is bothered by them, or perhaps people are just being polite! :-)
@salza You know what you're doing then! It's a funny thing about this group...they really ARE all so nice, you have to ask for help, or they're very polite about not critiquing! Of course then there's Miss Opinionated Weezilou! Haha! Carry on!
(This is a cool and creative edit, btw!)
