Whilst out walking the dogs I cam across a herd of Nruni cattle. They were very inquisitive and wanted to get as close as possible to the dogs. I have always discouraged my dogs from getting close to any farm animals so they were trying to hide behind me!

The Nguni cattle breed is special to southern Africa. A hybrid of different Indian and later European cattle breeds, they were introduced by Bantu-speaking tribes to southern Africa during their migration from the north of the continent. They are really a majestic looking animal! So different than ours in Canada that are stockier and meatier. But then, I imagine this breed does not require a lot of water like ours do.
