I couldn't decide which one I preferred so you get to see them both!

I like the other one too, but I think it's because the apples are more sideways. I'd be curious to see that arrangement with the front one in focus. I like the pale background too

Like them both but would probably choose this one

I like both, but I think this one creates depth better by having the apple in the front in focus. Although our eyes don't blur things further away, our brain seems to defocus objects that recede from us- so for me this mirrors what one would perceive as depth better than the other.

I like both shots but I find this one creates better depth of field as the eye is drawn to the back and out of the photo.
