Today I went out of my comfort zone...only wishing now that I had been "brave" to ask these gentleman if I could take their photo. At the time I thought the building was the story, but I think now the gentlemen would have made a "better" story....I'll get there. I had very little time today so I will be back. This is a hotel that was built in 1922 and was very modern and extravagant for it's day. It has been abandoned, been a mental institution, abandoned again for years only to have it be totally revitalized in recent years to the Drake apartments....restored to back to it's splendor.

If I may, try shooting several different angles to 'find' its best side. Buildings of this age have so much to 'say'. Courage is a process, I often struggle with it.

@joysabin thank you SO much for the advice.... I have been kicking myself ever since... 1: true I need to work on my courage 2: I only had about 15 minutes before meeting my mom. I will be back! Lots of old buildings to play with there
