This is our cat Lillie. I am not a cat person (dogs please) but she has melted my heart. She and her brother were kittens that were given to us when we lived in Iowa on our farm. Apparently one needs cats to be barn cats. Well, I told my son: do not bring them up to the house- I don't want to pet them, see them etc.- Knowing full well my love for animals would be my downfall. When cold weather came in that October, I folded. Next thing I knew we were at the vet getting them spade, neutered and de-clawled. That was 10 years ago. Her brother died 4 years ago. She was lost without him, but now Lillie and Croz are best buddies. They both come into my studio when I work in there. She rolls around purring begging to be photographed I supposed. I finally got her to hold still. I would get on the floor and she come to me. So this photo took awhile to get. If you look close you can see me in her eyes.
Thanks for stopping by. So honored to have my photos getting on the PP yesterday- even my creepy cauliflower! appreciate it so very much
This is beautiful! Fav.
I was never a cat person at all, I grew up highly allergic so put them out of my mind for 50 years. I had dogs, horses and bunnies. Then, Katniss came along, abandoned when her family moved away and left her behind. She came to us pregnant and alone. I couldn't resist when I found I was no longer allergic. I fell in love.
