snowdrop by samae

snowdrop

I planted snowdrops and crocus last year so I could photograph them this spring.(thanks to 365). This is the only snowdrop that has popped up yet. Maybe it's still early...just hope I didn't plant the bulbs upside down! lol.

Added 2 different textures to get rid of the ugly background of mulch.

Thanks for your comments and putting my eagle photos on PP yesterday. I appreciate your time, comments and favs.

So beautiful!

Lovely shot with a Rembrandt tone. The snowdrops will be more next year and planting upside down is no problem, they find their way.

I love this! Your editing is so fine. What program do you use for textures?

I have a problem with background to snowdrops, these textures have worked really well. Would also love to know a little about how you did it.

@365karly1 @helenhall I have a lot of texture files in a folder. My workflow is bouncing back and forth but I usually start out in LR do small adjustments there then take it into PS where I have topaz studio as a plug-in. I do a lot of tweeting there then take it back to PS and open my texture folder and pick one. Then I create a mask and reveal the background. I usually add at least 2 texture layers- play with mode and opacity.

@samae thanks Sarah for letting us know your secrets. All sounds very complicated. Maybe I will get to experiment one day! Meanwhile, keep it up - what ever you are doing it works so well.
