I saw this heron on the boat dock and thought maybe he was sick. I didn’t want to get too close. After researching, herons and other birds make this pose apparently to warm up their core after being wet. I will have to keep a look out for more of these flashers 🤣
Almost looked like he was on a surf board when I first looked - glad to read your explanation - such a neat catch - don't get to see this look very often!
