Just Married

photo 289
I came upon this couple in the lobby of the Sheraton Hotel in Waikiki. They had just been married and were waiting for their reception. My first thought was that they'll be "sidekicks" for a very long time. My second thought was I hope they live happily ever after. :)

From the looks of the photo, I believe they both have a great sense of humor

Great catch.

@digitalrn That's what I thought, too. They spoke enough English to allow me to snap this photo. Her dress was magnificent, so my only sorrow was not asking them to stand up and pose for me.

@gerry They were really fun, Gerry. They are giving me the "shaka" symbol with their hands. That means "no worries, be happy".

@digitalrn Yes, they were willing participants who were enjoying the moment. Wonder what they thought when I asked if I could take their photo.

@carmichaelbev I loved the sunlight and the way it played on her gown. Plus they were having such a nice moment together. It was sweet.

@vikkigm Thank you, Vikki. They were SO much fun, and tickled pink when I asked if I could just snap them with my iPhone. I didn't want to scare them away with my camera. ;)

@chauncygirl They were quite taken aback when I asked for their picture, but stepped right into a Hawaiian pose of giving me the "shaka" hand signal that everything's fine.
