I was trying to sneak up on the six Mallards swimming in a quiet pool of the river, but they saw me and flew away. So I settled for the little bit of snow we had overnight and the river.
interesting that the ducks were so touchy. Of course, most of ours are urban ducks and don't seem to pay any attention to people. Nice day. We had lots and lots of snow (closing schools) so I just stayed inside today.
I've never been able to sneak up on a mallard - or other water birds! They sure are jumpy. Like the way you captured your dusting - the tones are so pretty.
