For end the month of March, this is crossing on the boat to Pitt Island. There was no plane due to a mishap a few months earlier and it was 'out of action'. I was so disappointed there was no flight available. I almost missed out on the whole Pitt Island trip since the numbers wanting to go exceeded the available seats. Handled very badly by the tour operators. It was the best day of the entire Chathams trip.
Next time I am out that way I will only go to Pitt Island, so much more to do and photograph than Chatham Is, the mainland.
@dide Oh Dianne I was so delighted to get there. It was a bit of a haggle with the tour company. More travel information, go straight to Pitt Island it is so much more remote than Chatham Is. Conservation supreme!
