CHURCH DOME by sangwann

CHURCH DOME

The church dedicated to Our Lady of the Sacred Heart of Jesus was built in 1881 and consecrated as a Parish Church in 1918. It is surrounded by narrow streets and at the rear of the church is another narrow street leading uphill in the opposite direction to the church facade. From about 50 metres up the latter street, in view of the incline, one comes almost at eye level with the church roof . This gave me the opportunity to take this picture of the church dome. Two bell towers, which are on each side of the façade can now be seen at the rear which give you the impression of two security guards watching over the dome.
Very cool processing.

As always I love your pics of historical buildings and the text you add to them. In this one I really love the soft vs the sharp parts and the colors are great. FAV!
