I was at the top of this flight of steps leading down to the rocky beach and taking shelter from the sea spray behind a wall while taking my shots of the waves crashing onto the rocks and the walls of Fort St. Elmo. Some of the waves that hit my side of the rocks came up to almost where I was, some 4 storeys above sea level. If I weren’t behind the wall I would have been soaked by the sea spray.
