This is a view of Mosta Bridge from Wied il-Ghasel, a dry valley which in its upper part joins Chadwick Lakes. I have purposely taken this shot (one of many) with Ian included so you can evaluate its size. The sky was completely white and without colour when I took this shot, so I had to brighten it up myself.
This bridge scans Wied il-Ghasel (in English Valley of Honey) in Mosta it was built after World War II and replaces a previous iron bridge which was built in 1800 as part of the massive defensive structure built by the Colonial government and named The Victoria Lines (after Queen Victoria). The Victoria Lines traverse Malta from the North to South and was intended to be the first line of defense were an invasion from the north come to happen.
Many thank you to you all for the wonderful comments and the many fav's on yesterday's picture.
Beautiful capture, great pov and I love the flora in the foreground. I like your idea of including Ian, he certainly gives an idea of the size of that wonderful bridge.
