Abruzzo Day 5. 20th April
Shot taken on the way to Scanno.
After a sumptious Easter lunch at Sulmona we left for Scanno, stopping for some free time at this lovely lake, Lake Scanno. There was quite some activity in this leisure area and I took many pictures. This shot I loved most.
There is a legend involving this lake. It says that the lake was created by a feud between a white witch and a sorcerer; the lake marks the spot where the witch finally fell.

I like the bit of impressionist feel to this beautiful scene. That lakeside chapel is really something to see with its unique architecture. I love this shot....fav!
@hermann I sincerely don't know what that is, I didn't go close to the chapel to investigate though I was intrigued. And there was no river on that side of the lake.
