A street artist starting his project on the Sliema promenade.
The other day I said that during last weekend I had several opportunities for taking photos . These were mainly, the Msida festa and a Street Art Festival on the Sliema promenade. There were several artists who between Friday and Sunday demonstrated their artistic skills.
I selected this shot for the shadow cast by the artist while at the beginning of his project. I took another shot of him from the opposite direction but, although the painting – still at its beginning – looked better, the artist’s shadow didn’t show.
Thank you very much for looking and for beautiful comments and the fav’s on yesterday’s picture.
Dione, this is wonderful. The shadow is so strong. I also love the pops of colour. Watched the opening of the Commonwealth Games last night. Cheered loudly for Northern Ireland. I thought Malta looked fab so I'm going to cheer for them too.
That shadow really is something. It's almost as if it's the artist's alternate self, mad (as in 'crazy') about the creative opportunity before him. I'm curious, will or have you seen the finished project? Is that some sort of gun he's drawing??
Intriguing and different night shot, Dione! Love his shadow, great angle.
