Last Friday I was on the point of posting this shot with the text hereunder when for some reason we had a power cut and I couldn’t wait for the light to come back before leaving. So I am posting it now, just after we returned back home.
Second day of our Tuscany holiday.
I wasn’t going to post more shots of this magnificent work of art but your amazing comments and the fav’s have convinced me that it is worthwhile posting a few more images of the library. So I made a collage of 3 pictures to show you more and why I was excited to visit again this wonderful place.
Now I have to shut down the computer as I am leaving for a weekend in Gozo with the family. We have a wedding to attend to on Saturday evening of a nephew of mine. Much as I would like I cannot take the camera with me to the wedding. Christine (my wife) would not allow it and there will be enough professional photographs to capture the occasion. I would have taken a small p&s if I had one, though.

Huge amount of detail in these paintings! Must be incredible to view from in front! Perhaps you can enjoy the wedding now without looking for a good photo all the time?
