This is ‘il-Kaxxa Infernali’ as we call it in Maltese.
Pron: Ka (like ca in car)- sh-sha(like sha in sharp) in-fern-ali, it literally translates to The Hellish box. When you watch the video you will know why.
Took this video with my Nikon on the eve of the feast of St Gregory – the last feast to be celebrated in our area this Summer. I think it is impossible to take single shots with the camera without losing the effects and atmosphere created by this sort of fireworks.
The festa committee of this parish were short of money this year as they are building a new club. So there were non of those spectacular fireworks that fill the sky like those I showed from the St Julians festa.

Beautiful footage in your video - the fireworks were so fast one after the other - really quite different. You did a great job capturing this - do love the festivals you've caught this summer. A whole new part of Malta I've never known about.
