Swish swash go the wipers while the rain doesn’t stop. I am fed up to my nose with all this rain that we had this Winter. It has rained almost everyday since Boxing Day.
I went to the little village of GħarGħur yesterday to try and take some shots of the old part of the village but I wasn’t even given time to get out of the car. It continued drizzling all day and has started in the same vein this morning. It has been cold too, this Winter even if the temperatures have rarely gone below 10C. However, the high humidity makes the cold penetrate your body even to the bones. The Maltese are sunshine dwellers so when will the sun come out????
Joke: A married couple was on a sailing cruise when the weather turned stormy and the windy wallop of a wild wave washed the whisky wrenched husband overboard. Rescue teams failed, all hope was lost. Suddenly 2 weeks later the widowed wife was told her husband’s body had been found. “We hauled him up on deck,” said the leader of the search crew. “And attached to his body was an oyster containing a beautiful pearl worth about $50,000. What would you like us to do?” The now wealthy widow wondered for a moment and then said “Hand over the pearl and re-bait the trap.”
Thank you very much for looking and for all your lovely comments on yesterday's picture.
Although we had a frosty night we have glorious sunshine and blue skies in this part of the UK. It's only 08.45 on a February morning. However it is supposed to pour with rain all weekend!! your picture is great it shows wet misery very well!!
Good action catch of the wipers, and I love the clever way you framed the wet outdoor setting. I like the stony buildings! We've had rain & cloudy skies the last few days but generally it doesn't last long. Wishing you some sunshine real soon!
I am laughing out loud at your joke! Pity about your nasty weather - we actually have that same high humidity, cold and rain winters here. Chills you to the bone. Plus we got snow twice this week. Bring on Spring!
Lovely old buildings... we don't have these kind of buildings here in our place I'm glad the rain did not stop you from taking picture of the village giving us a glimpse of its beauty... funny joke :D
Oh I know that feeling so well. That is usually our winters. Never ending. The last couple of winters have been dry (our family tells us that while we are wintering in Arizona). We came home early this year and usually would have at least 2-3 months of almost solid rain. Drives me nuts. BUT..."The sun will come out tomorrow"..or tomorrow, or maybe tomorrow! Love the architecture in this shot...good windshield photography.
Ooh, you have my sympathy! There's been the occcasional day with sunshine here but mostly it's been grey and gloomy - with rain!
You've really caught the 'feel' of the weather here.
Great shot of the road and the nice buildings
You've really caught the 'feel' of the weather here.
