Gozo – 8th . This is my last shot from our weekend in Gozo of 6-8th March. I have many more shots which I could post but have to move on. Besides we are going to Gozo for Easter, this time with my son and daughter and their families and I will have the opportunity to take many more.
I started my Gozo series by saying that the weather forecast for that weekend – Friday to Sunday – was very bleak with cold, rain and strong winds. Nothing like that happened – only very cold on Friday evening. We were very lucky because as we were on the ferry coming back to Malta we could see the clouds and the heavy rainfall approaching. That lone person in that boat seems to be close to being drenched. The rain caught with us while we were driving home.
Joke: Mummy and daddy were asleep in their bedroom and their little boy was asleep in his own bedroom. Suddenly there was a thunderstorm and the boy is woken by a huge crash of thunder. He runs into his parents’ room, where his father comforts him. ‘Don’t be afraid of the thunder,’ he says. ‘It’s just a noise that God makes when someone tells a lie.’ ‘But why is it thundering now?’ asks the boy. ‘It’s the middle of the night and everyone is asleep.’ I know,’ replies father. ‘But it’s around this time that they start to print the newspapers.
