This is the view from the Sliema promenade towards Paceville. The tower is the Portomaso Tower and at the end of the promontory is the Dragonara Casino. In between are the Hilton Hotel, Portomaso marina and chic residences, Corinthia Marina Hotel and Radisson Hotel.
Joke: A head-on collision occurred between a man and a woman who were holidaying in different hotels in Paceville. Both emerged from the scene intact while their cars were totally demolished. The woman said, "This is quite a predicament. We should drink a toast to celebrate this miracle. I just happen to have a bottle with me. " The man replied, "What a great idea! Let’s toast." With this the woman handed the bottle to the man. The man downed half the bottle and handed it back. The woman would not take it back and said, "I think I will wait until after the police arrive before I celebrate."
We have an Autumn thunderstorm going on at the moment. It started last evening. I hope it will not keep me inside.
