This is Billy, my son-in-law’s pet parrot. I was parrot-sitting this week-end while my daughter and her family where on a week-end break in Gozo. Billy is arount 3-4 months old. He was bought when he barely had any feathers.
Yesterday, an event for sports car lovers at Ħal Farruġ to raise money for charity ended in distaster. The driver of a Porsche super sports car was giving a show when for some reason he crashed through the barrier and into the crowd and parked cars injuring 26 people, 5 of whom are in intensive care with the risk of losing their lives. Please pray for those hurt and their families.
Joke: One day a man goes to a pet shop to buy a parrot. The assistant takes the man to the parrot section and asks the man to choose one. The man asks, ''How much is the yellow one?''
The assistant says, ''
2000.'' The man is shocked and asks the assistant why it's so expensive. The assistant explains, ''This parrot is a very special one. He can speak English pretty well.''

Beautiful Billy !! I wonder how much he cost being nearly featherless !! lol !! Such sad news re the car accident -- my prayers for recovery will be with them !
