From the 4rd day of our Sicily holiday - 22st September, 2015.
Meet our personal guide for the day, Fabio. Fabio’s life is intrinsically tied to Etna – he knows the mountain by heart and is a good skier too. Fabio is younger than my two children. Max took a special liking to Fabio who was quick to reciprocate.
Fabio was also our guide when we went snow tracking on Etna some three years ago.
Here you can see him in front of the Etna scenery. In the foreground is another one of the extinct craters. There are craters around the whole of the mountain. Every eruption opens new craters. Some continue to live; others become extinct by time.
Joke: A little girl was not much interested in the mountain sights and was eager to go to a play area at the base of the cable car. So she asked her father, 'Can I go and play with the boys?'
Daddy said “Better ask your mum.” So the little girl goes up to her mother and makes the same question. Her mother replied, 'Go and ask your father.” The girl said “Daddy sent me to you.” Then mummy said; “Better not play with the boys, they're too rough.'
The little girl thought about it for a few moments and asked,
“If I can find a smooth one, can I play with him?'
Thank you very much for looking and for all the lovely comments, the fav's and for putting another of my pictures on pp and tp.
Beautiful Dione Fav.
A view on nature to feel how small we are really .
@eyesmile Actually we were driven around the roads in Fabio's seven-seater. Our walks were mostly of short distances.
