From the Acts of the Apostles

Best viewed enlarged, if you have time. Thank you.
“27 On the fourteenth night we were still being driven across the Adriatic Sea, when about midnight the sailors sensed they were approaching land. ………..
39 When daylight came, they did not recognize the land, but they saw a bay with a sandy beach, where they decided to run the ship aground if they could. 40 Cutting loose the anchors, they left them in the sea and at the same time untied the ropes that held the rudders. Then they hoisted the foresail to the wind and made for the beach. 41 But the ship struck a sandbar and ran aground. The bow stuck fast and would not move, and the stern was broken to pieces by the pounding of the surf.
28 Once safely on shore, we found out that the island was called Malta.”
That was an account on the shipwreck of St Paul.
In this shot you see St Paul’s Islands which traditionally is the place where the ship ran aground. On the other side of the islands is the inlet of another bay with a sandy beach.
If you enlarge you will see a stone statue of St Paul on one of the islands and tuna pens in the sea to the right of it (Malta is a major tuna exporter). I waited for that cargo ship to show up between the two islands before I took the shot.
This is one of the shots I took when we went to St Paul’s Bay a week ago.
Thank you for following my project and for the comments and fav's on yesterday's picture.
