This is the statue of St Joseph, patron saint of the Msida parish. It was out of its niche for the feast celebrated last Sunday. Those who have been following me for some time know that one of my hobbies for these last years has been gilding with gold leaf and I have to tell you that I was enthralled with the fantastic gilding works done on this statue. If you enlarge enough you will be able to see the precision and beauty of the master craftsman who did this.
A coin have two sides. One is the happy people. The other side : they don`t spent there money in the shops. A Dutch proverb say`s, : Vrouwtje bloot, handel dood = +/- The Lady dressed less, the business is less too.
