I don't know whether this guy saw me taking his picture - I was quite close to him. If he did see me he didn't show it.
There were a few re-enactors at the Fort which is only opened to the public on 'special' occasions.
I presume he is dressed in a 'Dejma' uniform. The 'Dejma' was a territorial force of Maltese men who made to train once (I think) a week at their village so that they are prepared to defend their villages in case of an attack. 'Dejma' soldiers put up a brave opposition against invading French forces under Napoleon Bonaparte in 1798 unaware that the Order of St John had already surrendered in Valletta.
