The first day of our Easter break - 12/04/2017 - was in Seville which is the capital and largest city of Andalusia. So much to see and capture there; after long considerations I have finally decided which shots to post.
I suggest you enlarge this picture to see all the details in this shot.
This huge retablo (altar piece) in the Great Chapel dominates the St Mary Of The See Cathedral. It is comrpised of 45 carved scenes from the life of Christ, as well as Santa Maria de la Sede, the cathedral's patron saint. It is the ultimate masterpiece of the cathedral - the largest and richest altarpiece in the world and one of the finest examples of Gothic woodcarving anywhere. It is the lifetime's work of a single craftsman, Pierre Dancart.
Many thanks for all your views, comments and favs. Always much appreciated.
