Day 8 and last day of our Sorrento holiday.
No matter how many times you visit Rome it is a must that you visit the Fontana di Trevi each time you are there. I have had the benefit to visit it a second time. I took many, many shots here but I selected this merge of two shots more to show some of the crowd that was gathered around it than to show the fountain itself. I am sure all of you have seen this Rome landmark either in person or in other better pictures.
Many thanks for all your views, comments and favs. Always much appreciated.
Oh how lovely! I only visited Rome once on my own back in the early 90's and the fountain was boarded up for refurbishment and repairs so I never saw it. I think I need to revisit and see it properly!
Wasn`t Anita Ekberg in the neighbourhood? Great movie van Fellini. Beautiful shot of you.
( The most used tree are the Crategus . They trim a good wall. )
Lovely capture 😊 I've been lucky enough to visit it, but it was empty and being renovated, but I got some lovely shots of the carvings under the water line - I just need to go back again and see it full!
I like how you pul more emphasis on the crowd and cropped it to make it a different take than the often seen scene. I have never been to Rome myself, but you are right that I have seem many pictures of this lovely fountain.
