Festa Ta’ Stella Maris: Feast of (Our Lady) Star of the Sea. I have left this for last because I consider it my favourite of all the shots I took on the occasion. Can you see the heart shapes? There were quite a few fireworks forming hearts; others which I didn’t manage to capture clearly were words like ‘you, me, out,’and others. The display was to the beat of some selected tunes which blasted the area at full sound. We left at around midnight but the event hadn’t ended yet as there was still the ġigġifogu to begin. Ġigġifogu comes from the Italian name ‘Giuoco di fuoco’ literally translating ‘game of fire’.
There is an English name to this but I forgot what it is.
Many thanks for your views, comments, and FAV’s. They are very much appreciated.
