PIGEON COOP?

Ireland holiday - eight day (25th July, 2019).

I liked this unusual tower on top of a normal house. I don't know what this is for because there doesn't seem to be an access to it. But , to me, it makes a lovely picture.

Can't think why out would be on an ordinary house. It looks like a bell tower, so maybe the house was a village school at some point.
