Every time I pass or stop by this hotel I have a big temptation to take a shot of it.
When I went to look for birds to capture, no birds except the egret family, a few gulls and the single sandpiper , I parked in this parking zone which is about 15 minutes walk from the salt pans. I took a few shots and decided to go for a walk along the coastline and then back to the car from where I took this shot.
Today this hotel has a different name, The Coastline Hotel, and was refurbished some years ago. At this hotel almost fifty years ago I had my wedding reception – after the vows in church. Christine and I were lucky to be the first couple to use a beautiful new hall which had just been finished. I remember it was on the first floor on the far right of the building. More storeys were added since then.
I added the rings and the hearts when I was playing with the photo to make it more attractive.
Thank you for your views, comments and fav's. They are always appreciated.
Wonderful story - the power of photos is truly magic - as you told the story of your wedding reception - the way you described it, especially the description of which door you entered - it seemed as if you were transported back those years ago. Wonderful. 50 years - that's awesome!

Where we had our reception nearly 50 years ago is still there too and thankfully they don’t have those awful brown and orange curtains anymore!!
