Christmas Tree fun by sarah19

Christmas Tree fun

So this is the tallest tree we've ever had in our house. It was wrapped up when we took it home and we didn't really appreciate how huge it was until we stood it in the usual corner........no way was it fitting there. Anyway.....we have it standing in a different corner and looking rather grand.
The pictures on the left are rather special.... the one at the bottom is from Laura and there's a little heart hanging from it. She quietly slipped it in when we were packing to come home.
The lovely NOEL bell in the middle one I bought at the Christmas Shop in Victoria Market in Melbourne and the rather scruffy little angel is her favourite from our extensive collection of ornaments! And the red baubles at the top we have had for a long time......and some favourites on the right hand side.
Three good things
1. I love it! It took a long time but worth it all.
2. Positive messages from the girls who love it too!
3. Off to some Christmas singing in a nearby town.
Such a beautiful tree! I miss having one and seeing all my treasured ornaments but since we travel and I'm married to the master of "bah humbug" it's just been too difficult to do it myself. Thankfully I can at least enjoy beautiful trees like yours on 365!

Oh, it's beautiful and is so nicely decorated. I've often had to snip the top of the tree to get it to fit into the house. Still need to find the space in the new house for our tree this year. We've never been here for Christmas.

Such beautiful tree ornaments Sallie, I love all the old favourites that come out year after year & yours has lovely original ones. My tree looks a wee bit bare this year, I’m ready for some additions I think. I bought two glass ones from Castle Howard & I will but some from Belfast next week. I’m not keen on overloaded trees but yours is just perfect. I love you have some from Melbourne! Fave.

Thank you for your lovely comments! Our angel on the top is just about touching the ceiling and we don't have the tree on top of a table this year!! But I'm just going to enjoy it this year and have said to Allan to remind me to get a smaller one next year!!! Will he remember is, of course, the question! Some of our decorations are about 36 years old!!!
I can identify ones we got free with petrol one year .....hee hee hee!!!
