Apparently that is the collective noun for them according to Radio 4 and Google! Seems perfect after my morning in the garden.
Yesterday it was fun to find one here and one there but today.........
I lost count, but they were all over the old buddleia bushes that I went to prune. I did cut some branches off but left them in a pile and a little later some of the ladybirds had moved onto them. Some kind of feast I guess.
Three good things
1. Sunshine and lovely day for working in the garden
2. Lots of washing out to dry.
3. Easy tea....chicken and mushroom pie from M&S. Hadn't tried it before but rather nice and gluten free which suits me better really.

Thank you for your lovely comments. These were just some that seemed happy on an old buddleia bush that I hadn't pruned in autumn. And this morning i saw some on the 'dead' eryngium (sea holly) so perhaps tidying everything at the end of the year isn't best for little creatures.
