Last night we watched a programme on TV about the production of Barbour jackets from start to finish.
It was fascinating. . and I went down to the garage and found my jacket which is about 30 years old. I haven't used it for a long time but I did give it some TLC today and it may be recoverable! I may send it back to be refurbished if I don't feel I can do it all myself.
But I also found two jackets I had made 30 years ago when we didn't have very much money but I had a sewing machine and loved creating the things we needed.
It was interesting that talking to Laura in Melbourne this morning, she remembered this jacket I wore for years.
So we'll see how things work out!
Three good things
1. A useful day recovering and tidying
2. Cauliflower cheese for dinner.....too wet to drive to Inverurie for planned ingredients.
3. Gin and prosecco combination.....hmmm feel quite sleepy.
Oh, we watched a documentary about an orang utan school in Indonesia last night and loved it too! You learn so much from these types of documentaries. Is this a barbour jacket, or another brand? It's lovely (great lining) and could easily be recovered, I'm sure! I have a North Face fleece I've had for over 30 years ... my daughter wants it now, but I'm holding tight. They hold so many memories!
Thank you for your lovely comments. Currently on holiday in Italy so hope to catch up soon. ☀️😊
