Walking back from the baker's I had to stop and take this with my phone. Loved the light on the Copper Beech and the shrubs at the other end.
It is a lovely corner site and most of it now under grass but Dad kept us in vegetables and summer fruit when we were growing up and long after. He would be glad we still try to keep some of it 'productive' I think.....potatoes still to be lifted and leeks and parsnips. Sadly carrot fly beat me this year!!!!
Three good things
1. A glorious autumn day- I drove to Inverness to have my hair cut and could have stopped so many times to take photos!
2. Brother and SIL arrived and I got lots done in the garden after.
3. Dinner together at 'The Platform'.....the lovely restaurant at the station where the building has been beautifully refurbished and all the delicious food is sourced locally.
