Home in sunshine and Allan had cut the grass so lovely to walk around and notice things.
Three good things
1. Gardening time early in the day.
2. Lunch and chat before drive back.
3. Our green space changes day by day.
Lovely! Is that in your garden? We took some home recently from the riverside and planted it in a pot. It has taken well and we were thinking of planting it out in the garden.
@jamibann the wild garlic plants came from Pitmedden Garden when Allan worked there a few years ago. It will spread a lot so choose carefully where you plant it...great pesto with the leaves. Haven't tried using the flowers yet.
@kjarn I asked Google! Our daughter and her husband have just moved to a house with a little garden in Melbourne so I was interested. Have a look! I think it's considered a weed in parts, but has some very positive properties and may be ok if in pot!!
@sarah19 Thanks. I haven't made pesto yet, but tried a roast potato recipe the other day, and I've thrown some into a pasta dish instead of spinach too. I may just keep ours in the pot, or just keep it wild by the river - now that I know where it is! A good excuse for a bike ride to go and get some.
