Woodland Walk

This is an old that I have been working on. I thought I might enter it into a competition at my local camera club but just wanted to get peoples feedback. Looks best seen on black if you have time
Lovely light, pov...This shot really pops on black.

Wow, that does look good on black. I like the tones, the light/shadow, the concept, etc. If I were to be super-picky (as you are possibly entering this in a competition), and bearing in mind I am/we are looking at a compressed image on a communal website from a home PC (so, therefore, it will be different than the version that gets printed), for me there is a sense of indeterminate clarity. This might be intentional, in which case all well. If it is not, I am left wishing for one certain point in the image that is crackingly in focus - the obvious spot is the two people and (again, with all the caveats) to me they look slightly fuzzy.

I love the natural framing as well as the light and shadows.

Like the framing, like the soft light. Perhaps could be a little sharper, depends how picky your camera club people are! I think I might take just a little off the bottom. Nice shot though and does look good on black

Beautiful framing

agree with photobird, if you remove the lighter parts in the foreground from the bottom it will better frame the subjects.

Great lighting and framing. Maybe a little brighten the path?

Wonderful!

Beautiful on black. Being a bit picky I might just lighten the adult top to match up a little with the child's? Or soften the child's not sure which would be better.

@peadar @photobird @mandygravil Thanks Peter, Mandy and photobird for your constructive criticism. I wish there was more likie that on this site. I was aware that due to the poor light some areas were not very clear and poor quality I think Peter and photobird have really confirmed what I thought. I see what you mean Mandy I had not noticed that. I will look at that if I do decided to enter it in competition

This is so cool. The lighting and the moment of the two walking through these dense forest is amazing.
