Macro Sock by sarahsthreads

Macro Sock

I'd love to say I had made some progress on my socks, but I've had as much time to knit as I had to take pictures today: none.

So quick after dinner while my girls were arguing over which one would get to wash dishes (really? don't most kids argue over who *has* to wash dishes?) I snuck outside with my knitting and my macro filter. I'm a bit confused about why the filter information sheet stated that you need to have the lens on manual focus - I took this one on auto focus using the live preview feature, with a +10 filter on.
I had the same questions about my macro tubes. I do fine with auto focus. The first time was a mistake; forgot to put it on manual. So I just stayed with it. Works fine. Interesting colors for socks, but I like it.

@aglennc Thanks! I'm all about interesting colors for socks. :) I do like the control manual focus gives, but having the option of auto focusing with the macro filters on is nice!

There was an article in our newspaper yesterday about a 95 year old local woman who took up knitting in her mid 80s "to stay busy" and has knit, literally, hundreds of caps which she gives to friends, to charities who send them all over the world to those in need, to local homeless, etc. None two alike, and she knits about one a day.

@linnypinny Thank you! I'm definitely enjoying these macro filters and the level of detail you can capture with them!

@aglennc One hat a day! Wow! I'm a fast knitter but I don't think I could do that. My grandma has been knitting baby hats for the local hospital to give out to new parents and I think she averages 2-3 a week, which I thought was a *lot*. :)

@sarahsthreads I have a friend who also knits hat for new babies. No idea how man she's done....... LOTS.
