It's raining, it's pouring,

The doggy is snoring.
I want to go outside to play,
'Cause inside is so boring!

Matthew has discovered he can stand on a chair and fiddle with the sliding door lock. Luckily he's not strong enough to turn it yet, let alone haul the door open. As you can see, those horizontal slats are not exactly up to current code, making our deck a super dangerous place for climbing children.

(Please ignore the rain streaked pollen all over the outside of that door. I don't even try to clean it until the trees are done trying to kill me with their pollen, it doesn't last long enough to make it worth it!)
Cute. Give him a week or so.......

That's a nice photo. I like it in B&W.

That mop of hair kills me every time. I love how the contrast in exposure of inside vs. outside will shows off the curls.

Charming silhouette. Thanks for the follow. Reciprocating. I like your purist approach shooting with primes - I try to use a 35mm or 50mm prime (on a dx nikon) whenever I can.

@aglennc Oh, no doubt for the lock. Although I suspect the house has settled a bit and the door isn't really square in the frame, so it's *really* hard to open. I think we have some time for that part yet!

@bebecitosfotos Thanks! I loved how the light was shining through his curls. :)

@jasperc I love my primes. I feel like they really force me to see what's in the frame and compose the photo properly in a way that my zoom kit lens never did.
