Carolyn would have loved the climbing tree I had growing up. The trunk was split fairly low, and it had a space that was plenty big enough to sit in all day with a good book. It was high enough to drop those parachute guys off of, too!
This tree (technically our neighbor's) is the closest we have to a climbing tree, and there really aren't good branches to just hang out on.
That doesn't stop her from climbing.
What a difference a few days make! These leaves went from red to gold-green in the blink of an eye!
I had a great climbing tree in our back yard when I was growing up. Even had a tire swing hanging from it.......Our kids missed a lot of fun like that.
@aglennc Oh, a tire swing sounds great! Most of our trees are not suitable for climbing, but I wonder if we could manage a tire swing in one of them...?
