I think it might be time to put my little monster in a toddler bed. I've been dragging my feet - 22 months doesn't seem nearly old enough to make this switch - but the reality is he can haul himself in or out, whether the side is up or down, and lands on his head more often than not, and he's going to get hurt.
I don't want to say goodbye to this crib that has been in one child's or another's room for the past decade; it's so very bittersweet to realize that these baby days are dwindling.
This is a great photo to make the argument that he's ready, willing and very able to be in a big boy bed! Really cute capture, but they do grow up too fast!
@samzee Thanks! We found a gently used toddler bed for something like $20 when my oldest was ready for the switch, but if we didn't already have the toddler bed I'd definitely consider just putting a twin mattress down for him!
