Her nickname for the day is Nanny McPhee. I honestly don't know how that tooth made it through breakfast and lunch, it's clearly hanging by barely a thread! The tooth fairy has been put on notice, that she may be needed even as early as tonight...
Before Carolyn lost her first tooth, I was a little sad thinking about how her perfect little baby teeth smile was going to go away and be all weird and awkward, but now I realize how much fun these transitional smiles can be.
This shot of Anna laughing - but unfortunately with her eyes shut - was the best one of her wacky smile.
Oh this is so perfect!! A must print. Look at the joy in that face. The eyes closed only adds to the joy. This one goes in the wedding slideshow! :) It captures the joys of childhood perfectly!
Cute.... always have to get "toothless shots of the kids.... We have some dandies of our two. How much is the tooth fairy giving for a lost tooth these days? When our kids were loosing their teeth -- in the early to mid 70s the price was 25 to 50 cents!!
Such an adorable shot! I can almost hear her laughing. Toothless shots of my son have always been some of my favorites . . . I still have one on the fridge I look at every day and he's 29 years old. :-)
@aglennc Our tooth fairy brings a gold dollar coin. Sometimes she throws in a little trinket too for special occasions (we've had lost teeth on Christmas eve, birthdays, etc.) but usually it's just a coin and maybe a little note. :) (I've heard reports that other neighborhood tooth fairies bring more, but I guess they each have their own exchange rate and ours isn't as generous. LOL!)
@gaylewood Awesome! This is such a great fun age, and it feels like those toothless smiles sort of embody that, I can see why you'd keep it on the fridge for daily viewing. Thanks. :)
Cute tooth and expression! I remember my kids teeth just barely hanging on like this! My sixteen year old needs her wisdom teeth out soon... time flies!
