The mystery shawl is complete. Ish. I still need to weave in the ends (there are many) and give it a good wash and block to open up the lace and give it the airy drape it should have. I'm sure this will appear one more time this month when I take post-blocking glamour shots!
But I am so in love with the way this looks in black & white. I adore how the colors are reduced to shades of gray that alternate light and dark (I guess the designer knew what she was about when she suggested the order of colors) and emphasize direction of the knitting and the texture of the stitches.
I would never have explored shooting my knitting projects in black & white before this month, I love this 365 project and community!
