I have a cake to make this weekend. I have a vague plan combining two different cakes I saw on pinterest, and it involves a multitude of drop flowers. (The inspiration cake used tiny fondant flowers, but the kid in question hates fondant, so...royal icing it is.) Also she's hoping for edible glitter, an ombre frosting effect, and as a stretch goal, multiple shades of cake batter...it's either going to be really pretty or terribly ugly.
At least the drop flowers turned out nicely - it's been at least five years since I played with royal icing and tip 225!
