This girl has told me, on more than one recent occasion, that "I wish I was beautiful like you and Carolyn. I look in the mirror and I know I am not beautiful."
I don't know where this lack of self-esteem came from, and despite repeated reassurances that she is beautiful inside and out, and that external beauty isn't even important, she's still convinced she's not beautiful.
Or awesome.
Or smart, clever, kind, friendly, loving, loyal, talented, creative or any of the other words I would use to describe this awesome kid.
I think it must be tough to be stuck in the middle, with a big sibling who does everything first, and a little sibling who steals the cuteness spotlight.
Oh but I agree with you, she is so very beautiful!!! Oh it breaks my heart when they lack self confidence... You wish they could see themselves through your eyes...
