Holiday Hats by sarahsthreads

Holiday Hats

Well, I'm still having trouble wrapping my head around the idea that Thanksgiving is over and it's time to start thinking about Christmas and all that entails, but at least they will have festive hats!

And PJs. I've bought Christmas PJs. Maybe they can just do all the Christmas things in footie PJs and we can skip the fancy clothes this year?
very festive

These are absolutely adorable. And you knit them. Did you make up the pattern? I'd love to have it........ FAV. These are the "small projects" I prefer now. No more sweaters, etc.

@aglennc Hahaha, I hate to even confess how easy these are, it's much more impressive to say, no, I did all the colorwork and striping myself, but...no. These are a one-ball kit called "Top This!" - there are dozens of varieties of toppers, winter/holiday-themed things, sports, animals, etc. The ball is made up of connected lengths of those different textured/colored yarn, so it stripes on it's own. And it's a free pattern on the ball band, although I did have to add length for my big-headed kiddos. :) (The manufacturer's site shows all the varieties if you click into each section: http://www.dmc-usa.com/Products/DMC-Top-This-Yarn.aspx )

@sarahsthreads Thank you/ I'm going to make a run down to our nearby JoAnn's and/or Michael's tomorrow!! I have to make a couple of these for our two little great granddaughters -- ages 6 and 4...... and maybe one for myself, who knows. The are absolutely out of this world adorable!
