Memorial Day 2010- I ran in my first race, the Gate to Gate on Eglin AFB- which honored all veterans by having the runners place flowers on the Veteran Memorial....I wish I had had my camera while I ran because it was a site to see. Luckily the rain stayed away and the clouds helped shield us from the hot hot sun.
I am grateful for all of the military-past and present- that have kept my family safe, especially my husband. Being a part of the military community means I have friends who I consider family that I could not be more proud to know. Thank you to all Veterans out there for their sacrifices.
Congrats on finishing your first run. I missed seeing this photo on the day you posted but your photo's message is an excellent message for EVERY day of the year.
