Under our city market that has been there since 1821, there are these catacombs. They at one time, ran for miles under the city and were even used to smuggle slaves to freedom. The Indy group got a private tour of these. THEY ARE HAUNTED! I took a picture of this wagon full of bricks and did not see the word DAMNED until I loaded it on the computer. The flash must have brought it out and "its haunted".
Wow ... cool. What are they planning to do with this place? Are they renovating it for a restaurant, shopping places, or something? Looks awesome ... and what a fabulous history. Including the ghosts. :)
@summerfield you make it this way and I will get you a private tour. The lady took us by ourselves and it is not open to the public. You would have loved it.
@allie912 I must admit that is the good part of having this job, there are still people that appreciate would we do. It was surreal the amount of people that stepped up and took us around and gave us personal tours.
Nice collage of the super secret catacombs! I just finished going through all my catacombs photos and they are SPOOKY. It didn't seem nearly as spooky actually being down there with 10 other people, but looking at these photos alone in my apartment at midnights is downright chilling! All the chains hanging from the ceiling and walls - yikes! And the hidden graffiti. Cheryl notice the "damned" while we were down there. Flash brings out freaky things in the catacombs!
@mrssmith I say that all the time, I am glad to hear someone else does also. I would like to hear what those old bowling alley's would say. How many proposals, birthdays, and all around good times happened there?
i did not see that either!! what did you think when you looked at this picture and saw it said that? did a chill come over you?....hehe
i have some photos that have strange little green lights in them. did you see any?
