I showed this little guy to you before with his wings closed http://365project.org/sarasdadandmom/365/2012-05-25.
I chased him around and took over 30 pictures trying to get this one. What do people think of us, seeing these crazy attempts at getting our shots. LOL
Will not comment on what some people think....once I was on my stomach taking shots of a catapillar.....my neighbour came over and wanted to know if I had hurt myself! Not sure what she though when I told her what I was doing ....bottom line just do it...most people you will never see again and the rest already knew we were different!
My neighbors know me by now and once in a while, like today, will point out something of interest to shoot. Very well done, Terry, and great colors + beauty in this photo.
Well ... just look at the gorgeous results! It was well worth the effort and the "odd glances!" Must say that I've been flat out down on the ground in the dirt and grass getting photos in front of loads of people in the park. And, of course, you know that I've been asked to leave certain places! lol I don't care anymore .... and you got a beautiful shot. Fantastic color and clarity. FAV.
Bravo Terry. Nice job, and I'm sure when they see you out there runin garound like a mad man with your camera, they just shake their head and go on with their business. They grow accustomed to us, and our weird habits.
@carmichaelbev Thanks Bev, and you are right. My friends and family hate going places with me because I stop at a stop light and jump out to get a shot. LOL..
see? persistance pays off!! I don't notice people so much anymore when I take pics..and I'm so glad for that, it used to cause me to walk away from a shot that would have been
this is beautiful - colours, composition, textures and lighting. great shot, terry. i still feel conscious of people staring or making nasty remarks when i'm shooting. last sunday i flopped down on a rich person's garden just so i could photograph a lily flower on the pond because i wanted a different pov. the owner came out to see if i was okay. another visitor with a really muscled camera was hesitant to do the same but seeing me just clicking the shutter away he did it, too, but rather quickly. i was wearing all white but to my and everybody's surprise didn't have any dirt on me. of 20 frames i took, only 3 were good. yup! the things we do to get a shot done right.
